UC browser is back on Playstore with updated settings

After being taken off the Google Play Store about a week ago, Alibaba’s UC Browser app is back again. The sudden removal of the app and a tweet from  Mike Ross, who claimed to be a company employee, led to reports that UC Browser was allegedly using unhealthy and misleading practices to promote its app.

This has been rectified in the latest build uploaded to Google Play. The company in a statement said the new version is available for users with updated technical settings strictly in line with Google Play's policy.

UC browser currently has more than 500,000 installs and it is one of the fastest browser ever when it comes to downloading stuffs online. Whatever the offense UC browser might have committed in the past, Google doesn’t allow apps that deceive users with false claims and insists on providing accurate details of their functionality.

It is now back fully online which you can get from Google Playstore or apk mirror.

47 Google Play Store Error Codes And How to Fix Them Pt1

So long you are using an android phone, you might have probably come across some of this error when you try to download an app from Google Play Store… errors containing random numbers that even your mathematical sense of reason cannot decode.

Well, here are some Google play error codes and how to fix them. It will be divided into two or three part but here is part 1 of it.

Prisma can't be downloaded
1. Google Play - Error DF-BPA-09 'Error Processing Purchase'
Google Play Error Processing Purchase DF-BPA-09 happens quite often when trying to download an app. This problem won’t go away if you simply try downloading again, so you’ll need to go into the settings.

The problem is not due to individual users, but to Google Play itself, so we’re hoping it will be fixed in the near future. In the meantime, here is what you can do:
  • Go into the Settings of your device
  • Tap on Apps or Applications Manager (the name varies depending on your device).
  • Swipe to the All column.
  • Scroll down until you see Google Services Framework
  • Finally, choose Clear data and then OK.
2. Google Play – Error DF-BPA-30
The cause of this error comes from Google servers themselves. First, we will tell you that waiting is a great solution, but other solutions work for some users.

Open the Google Play Store on the web (use a PC, for example)     Then choose an application install it on your Android, which should logically send you the infamous error [DF-BPA-30]     Get back on your smartphone and try the download, which should now be operational again  Otherwise, you can try to delete the data or clear the cache of "Google Play Services".

3. Google Play – Error DF-DLA-15
Downloading an update or an application may fail with this error.

The first thing to do is to clear the cache and data of the Play Store app. To do this, go into the Settings, tap Applications and look for the Play Store and you can delete the cache and data. On some smartphones, you must enter the Storage tab to see this option.

4. Google Play - Error rh01
Error retrieving information from server.

First solution
Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and select both Clear data and Clear cache. Do the same for Google Services Framework.

Second solution
Remove and re-add your Gmail account, restart your device and then re-add your Gmail account.

5. Google Play - Error rpc:s-5:aec-0

Error retrieving information from server.

Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and select Clear cache and Uninstall updates. Do the same for Download Manager and Google Services Framework.

6. Google Play – Error retrieving information from server
This error message often appears when updating or downloading an app. Google's servers are unable to retrieve information from your Google account. You can delete and re-register, but wait a few hours to see if the problem persists. Sometimes it'll just take care of itself.

  • Go to the Settings> Accounts> Google 'to delete your Google Account'
  • Once this is done, you must reboot your device, then re-synchronize the account
  • Finally, open the Settings> Applications> All> Google Services Framework. Inside, you must click Options 'Clear Data' and 'Force Stop'
8. Google Play – Error authentication required
This problem is quite common on Android devices. But rest assured, we have three possible solutions to deal with it. One of these tips should resolve your problem.

1. Enter the Accounts tab in the settings of your phone. Then remove the Google account and add it again. If everything works after this then it was a simple little error that's sometimes displayed after an update.
2. Go into your Settings, tap Application managerthen go into the Google Play Store. Delete the data from this menu (you can also clear the cache).
3. Maybe the problem is not really in your authentication, but the Play Store itself. In this case, you only have to go to application settings (Settings> Applications), search the Play Store and click Uninstall updates. Maybe you need to disable the Play Store to get to this started. That way you get the version of the Play Store that you had when you purchased the phone, you just have to update it and then re-register.

9. Google Play - Package File Invalid
Play Store error.

First solution
Go to Settings > Apps > All and select the app that's causing the problem, then select Clear cache and Clear data. Try again in Google Play Store.

Second solution
Install app through Google Play Store website.

Third solution
Disable Wi-Fi and download or update the app using mobile network data.

Fourth solution
Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and select Clear cache and Clear data. Do the same for Google Services Framework.

Fifth solution
Remove your Google account, restart your device, re-add your Google account and try again.

10. Google Play – Error 8
This error occurs when you want to download an application and the download stops.

First of all you have to make sure that Google Play Service is installed on your device. If your problem is not solved then go to Settings>Apps>All> Google Play Services and disable the application. After this, it will ask you to restore the factory settings, you need to just confirm it. If still your problem is not solved then you have to contact Google support.

11. Google Play Store Error – Error 18
This error occurs when you want to re-install application that you have already installed on your Android phone. Though there is no 100% guaranteed solution to fix this error, but you can try the following solution below to fix error 18.

Remove the SD card from the Android phone/tablet and re-insert the memory card. It works for some users but not for all. You can also Contact Google Support, if problem still exist. The last alternative is that you can reset your Android phone.

WhatsApp Upcoming Updates: Admin Super Powers

We’ve seen lots of updates from WhatsApp most especially the recall feature recently rolled out to everyone and the bug noticed  on how you can read deleted messages from the recipient backend. Though we are still expecting WhatsApp to fix the bug.

Now, this is what we are expected to see in the near future, no specific time frame on when it will be rolled out but maybe 2018.

Admin Super Powers: WhatsApp will prevent the group creator to be deleted from the group by other administrators. This will help the group creator to have the full control of the group.

Subject Modification: The administrators will be able to choose if other participants can modify the subject of the group, its icon and its description, as shown below in this Android screenshot:

only admin can edit the group icon and infos

When an administrator decides that participants cannot change the subject of the group, its icon and its description, a notification will appear in the group telling you that only admins can change the group info.

only admin can change the group icons

Restriction in Groups:Administrators will be able to disable the chat features in the group: that means all participants won’t be able to send in the group text messages, images, videos, GIFs, documents, voice messages or starting a new live location session.. They will be able to do nothing in the group, and a notification in the chat will appear that “only admin can send messages to this group”

Admins will have power to disable the chat features… only admins will be able to interact within the group while other participants can only read messages but won’t be able to reply. This is necessary if admin want to pass an info or a training is going on in the group.

the changes can only be altered after 72hours

How to Recover a Deleted WhatsApp Message

This was one of WhatsApp’s most anticipated feature rolled out few weeks ago… unfortunately, the recall feature isn’t as reliable as it looks.

Last month, WhatsApp introduced a 'delete for everyone'feature, allowing users to unsend an embarrassing message within seven minutes of sending it. The message once deleted from the senders end’ automatically delete the message from the receivers end too.

But a new report from a Spanish blog claims that WhatsApp messages that are deleted are actually still on the device, and can easily be accessed through Settings by the recipient. The recipient can easily access the deleted messages regardless whether it has been deleted from sender's end.

this delete messages you've sent to whatsapp
Whenever a notification comes in to an Android devices, it is stored in the notification log – whether or not it is subsequently deleted by the sender.
While the bulk of the data in the log is technical information, the first 100 characters of the notification message is also recorded.
So while users may not be able to see the message within WhatsApp after it is deleted, they can still see it in the notification log – which can be accessed in two ways.

How to Access Deleted WhatsApp Messages
Method ONE:
The trick currently only works on Android 7.0.
Firstly, users can create a home screen Settings widget:
1) Press and hold home screen
2) Press widgets icon
3) Scroll down to Settings
4) Drag and drop onto home screen
5) Click on widget
6) Scroll down and click on the notification log
8) Click on the message you want to see

Method TWO:
1. Download notification history from appstore here
2. Search the message in the Android notification log.
However, the first 100 characters of the message will appear in the line starting with 'android.text.'
Users will only be able to view the first 100 characters of deleted messages, and the notification log will clear every few hours, or any time the device is restarted.

This raised a serious security issues with WhatsApp since one of the main reasons people use WhatsApp over text messaging is that it uses end-to-end encryption, that is seen as a secure option.

UC Browser Unceremoniously Removed From Google Play Store

UC Browser has mysteriously disappeared from the Google Play store. The Alibaba-owned mobile browser, which had more than 500 million downloads last month has been delisted by Google overnight over misleading content.

The removal of UC Browser from Google Play was spotted by users and reported late on Tuesday.  Mike Ross, who claims to work for UC Browser, tweeted that the browser is "temporarily removed" from the Play Store for 30 days due to adopting "misleading" and "unhealthy" methods of increasing installs. We've reached out to Google and UCWeb for clarity and will update this space accordingly.

But UCweb sent out a mail that… We have conducted an urgent internal investigation and fixed the problem. The new version has been uploaded on Google Play's Developer Console and is awaiting evaluation. We will actively cooperate with Google Play for any concern caused by this unintentional error. In the meantime, users can still download UC Browser Mini from the Play Store, an alternative version of UC Browser.

When it comes to fast download, UC browser ranks high.. but we hope to see UC browser back soon

Download FireFox Quantum Browser - Faster Than Google Chrome

A couple of months ago, Mozilla started teasing a new version of the Firefox browser that would be twice as fast as the latest release and 30% lighter than Google Chrome, dubbed Firefox Quantum.

The new Firefox Quantum web browser is now out of beta and Mozilla claims that the new browser will not only outpace Chrome, but crush it in terms of memory use. Google's Chrome browser is known for using up lots of RAM, especially once you start to accumulate tabs. Firefox claims that Quantum will be able to handle an equal amount of punishment while using 30 percent less memory than Chrome.

Quantum only uses 30% lesser RAM and open pages with lightning speed. If you have dumped Firefox for a very long time, it’s time to go back to it.

One new useful feature in Quantum is its ability to quickly search using any search engine you want. As you type a query in the address bar, Quantum displays instant results, as well as show buttons for various engines. Google remains Quantum's default search.

You can take and share screenshots without using a third party app or add-on. The Pocket service is built right into the toolbar, for easy saving stuff for later. The new browser's library is where you'll find all your favorite content such as Pocket saves, bookmarks, browsing history, screenshots, and downloads - all of these are accessible in one spot.

Firefox Quantum is available for download for your computer, iOS and Android devices from the below link.
